Acromioclavicular Crossover Test
Acromioclavicular Crossover (Cross Body Adduction) Test – The Acromioclavicular Crossover test is used to detect acromioclavicular joint pathology. This test is also known as the cross-body adduction test and the horizontal adduction test. With the patient in the standing position and the elbow fully extended, support the shoulder and lift the arm to 90 degrees of shoulder flexion and then horizontally adduct it as far as possible. This maneuver compresses the acromioclavicular joint of the involved arm. Pain produced at the acromioclavicular joint constitutes a positive test indicating acromioclavicular joint pathology.
